A FUN DAY TODAY!

Today I participated in a workshop offered by the Magic Needle Quilt Guild. I learned a new technique for making a cathedral window quilt from a wonderful teacher, Teresa Justice. I’ve always wanted to make a cathedral window quilt, but I can’t seem to stick with a big hand work project long enough to keep it from becoming a UFO. I’ve started the CW quilt several times over the years and if I could find these UFOs, I might actually have enough for a large tote bag! The technique I learned today takes a lot of the hand sewing out of the process and gives me hope that I might actually be able to finish the “pillow” I started in the class!

Our lunch menu was AWESOME! My good friend Jo is an excellent cook and today we got a taste of some authentic “Cajun” cooking. Jambalaya, crab cakes and beignets never tasted so good!!

I’m off to watch some TV and do a little hand sewing on my CW pillow.

Musings of a lazy blogger

I have to admit this is not my first blog. I must be the laziest blogger in the world. I get off to a great start, then life gets in the way and posts get few and far between. After a year or more has passed with no posts, I’m just too embarrassed to start posting again. So now I’m creating a new blog and I’m hoping I can become more disciplined and post more frequently. I will be moving some photos and such from my old blog as soon as I get the hang of using Word Press.
